UKU Event Announcements
This newsletter is intended to provide a simple stream of information about UKU events. At the point of launch, the intention is that this will provide a definitive source of the most important information relating to UKU events: - dates - registration processes - news updates in the weeks preceding an event (e.g. schedule released, etc)
We are pleased to now release further details for this weekend's final round of COIR tournaments (and Scottish Women's!).
Reminder: Club Open Indoor Nationals & Scotland/SW Club Open Indoor Regionals - Closing date approaching #UKUCOIR #COWIN
What's that you say? You'd forgotten to sort it out because Christmas got in the way? :-)
Entries initially close on the 5th January for COIN (for only those teams who attended the December regionals) and for Scottish and SW COIR (plus Scottish Women's Indoor Nationals alongside ScCOIR). Get those entries in!
Following Friday's closing date, we're delighted to announce the 20 teams who have been lucky enough to earn a spot at CWIN near Glasgow in February.
In this update - just in case you otherwise wouldn't scroll to the end:
COIR Results & Spirit for Redbridge and Coventry
COIR Entries for Plymouth and Motherwell (events in January) - plus Scottish Club Women's Indoors
Club Women's Indoor Nationals - Closing Date Reminder!
Club Open Indoor Nationals - Entries Now Open
Club Mixed Indoor Nationals - Venue Announcement
We are pleased to confirm the schedules for this weekend's events.
Obviously, it's hard to ever completely confirm a schedule as mistakes do occur and teams do drop out - but we will now undertake to do everything in our power to not alter anyone's start times even if some later parts need rewritten.
Congratulations to Glasgow who were victorious in Division 1, beating out Leeds in an extremely tight final that finished 8-7. Standout performances earned Duncan Webster and Katie Lovell the Male and Female MVP of the final honours. In Division 2, Aberdeen beat Nottingham to bring home the title, making it Scottish victories in both divisions.
Thanks to everyone who took a look at the draft schedule posted yesterday. With over 750 views and no issues spotted, we're now confident of confirming it ahead of the weekend!
We are pleased to release a provisional list of teams for the Club Open Indoor Regionals events running in Coventry and Redbridge on the 3rd/4th December.
Oddly enough, the Coventry event is overfull, but there are quite a few spaces available in Redbridge - which means that currently those teams can each expect a huge chunk of pitch time, and it should be extremely enticing to any other teams who think they can get something together at short notice. Do please still feel free to enter, and as long as it doesn't make horrid numbers for scheduling we will be pleased to fit you in!
