WFDF 2018 World Masters Ultimate Club Championships - Update

Details regarding the WFDF 2018 World Masters Ultimate Club Championships (WMUCC) have now been announced.

From July 29th - August 4th, WMUCC will be held at Little Mountain Sportsplex and IJL Ultimate Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

If any Masters Club teams are interested in attending the tournament, please be aware that
ALL teams must complete the Expression of Interest form at https://goo.gl/forms/GjwCTpcPMo6xSUFp1 as outlined in the detailed PDF released by the WMUCC Tournament Director (found here). As the bid allocation list (published by the WFDF Ultimate Committee) will be based on data collected from the EOI form, please make sure that you have carefully considered whether you have a viable team for the tournament.

This form needs to be completed
no later than 31st August 2017 if you are wanting to attend WMUCC.

Full details regarding the tournament in Canada can be found in the detailed PDF on our webpage here, however, the main points are as outlined below:

  • The Opening Ceremony is on Sunday 29th July 2018 with the Finals and Closing Ceremony on Saturday 4th August 2018.
  • Registration for Teams, Players and Guests will open September 15th, 2017.
  • There will be a WMUCC meal plan for breakfast and dinner (Monday-Friday) at the LMS Sportsplex. For food options on-site, there will be food vendors at the venue during the day and this is not included in the meal plan.
  • Accommodation reservations can be made through WMUCC2018.com for host hotels which include a free shuttle service to the event venues and entertainment. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis. Obviously, there are other accommodation options to choose from which can booked independently should you wish to.
  • The free shuttle available for all athletes and teams staying at WMUCC event hotels  begins at 7am each day and ends at 1am.
  • UKU can support teams in making early-bird team fee payments subject to reviewing your team-plans

As previously announced, UKU plans to allocate bids for WMUCC based on the results from Masters Nationals which is going to be held on Saturday 9th September. The venue is currently being confirmed, however, if you are interested in competing at WMUCC then please keep this date in your calendar. More details will be released soon on the format of that tournament.
