WMUCC 2018 Bid Allocation Announcement

UKU has received official news regarding the number of UK bids for each division at WMUCC 2018. Details for each division can be found below. 

 

Highlights:

  • Room for one additional team in GrandMaster Men’s
  • Room for one additional team in Master Men’s
  • Deadline for confirming we want these bids is TUESDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

What now?

Even if you don’t currently consider yourself part of a Master’s team..

  • please read this announcement if you are interested in playing at the Masters level at all,
  • please share it with anyone you know of masters age

There may be the opportunity for you to play for a team even if you’ve never thought about it before!  Also, don’t be afraid to put your name forward to play, as teams may also be interested in picking up additional players for their World’s squad.

GrandMaster Men’s (GMM)

In the GrandMaster Men’s division the UK has been offered 2 bids. One team (‘Flash’) expressed interest and has been allocated the first bid.

There is space for another team to enter. So..

  • if you will, regardless of gender, be at least 40 years old by the end of 2018,
  • you are a group individuals interested in playing together,
  • or you would be ready to pick up to play as part of a team,

then please let us know via email to events@ukultimate.com, right now, and certainly no later than Tuesday 26th September.


Master Men’s (MM) 

In the Master Men’s division the UK has been offered 3 bids. The first two bids have been awarded to Blue Arse Flies and Brighton Legends.

There is a space for another team to enter. So..

  • if you will, regardless of gender, be at least 33 years old by the end of 2018,
  • you are a group individuals interested in playing together,
  • or you would be ready to pick up to play as part of a team,

then please let us know via email to events@ukultimate.com, right now, and certainly no later than Tuesday 26th September.


Master Women’s (WM)

For the Master Women’s division, the UK has been awarded 2 bids. They have been awarded, in alphabetical order, to: Bristol and Icenior.

We think there may be an opportunity for another team to play in the Women's division at WMUCC 2018. Therefore, if you are interested in playing in this division as a team, or as an individual who would like to pick up for a team, please email us at events@ukultimate.com to let us know ASAP. 

 

To be eligible to play in the Master Women’s division, you are required to be at least 30 years of age by the end of 2018. 

 

Master Mixed (MX)

In the Master Mixed division, the UK has currently received 3 bids to WMUCC, and 4 teams expressed interest. UKU has contacted all affected teams and will be organising a qualification tournament to award the bids.
