1. Check and update your contact information

Please remember to check that the website has the correct contact data: i.e. your name and address. This is so that you can receive your copy of Ultimatum! 2007 promptly. Please do another quick check even if you have updated your details before as unfortunately a bug in the website removed some contact details during July and August. Very sorry! :-(

2. EUCF 2007

Congratulations to Clapham Ultimate for rounding off the outdoor season by winning the European Ultimate Club Series (open division) in Basel, Switzerland. Iceni and Leeds won silver and bronze respectively in the Women's division; and Leeds won Spirit of the Game in both divisions!

The tournament was a fantastic success - and there is no doubt that the Series is set to become the major annual event in European club ultimate.

If you have any feedback regarding EUCS - whether you played in Basel or not - please send it soon so that it can be forwarded to the Championship Series Committee.

4. GB Junior Womens Trials

Attention all female frisbee players born in 1989 or later. The British Junior Women's Frisbee squad are reselecting for the 2008 season. There will be trials for both divisions:

U19 (Born in 1989 or later) GB Junior Women
U17 (Born in 1992 or later) GB Girls

This season is a fantastic season to be a British junior girl. The U19 first team will be travelling to Vancouver to take part in the World Championships - August 2008. The U17 squad will be travelling to Europe to compete in the European U17 Championships and the U19 second team will travel to Europe to compete in an international open event.

Trials and information on this years Junior Women's squads can be found on either the GB Girls or GB Junior Women's sections of the website.

You don't need to have been playing long to attend. The sessions cater for all levels, and are open to beginners. Selection will be made to create the strongest squads with the best chance at British Junior success.

If you have any questions on the above, please contact James the head GBwomen's coach at:

5. Annual Conference

The UKUA Annual Conference will be held on Sat 12th Jan. The conference is free to UKUA members and is a chance to meet with other people that are interested in how ultimate is run/organised in the UK, and discuss plans for the future. We are also planning that this year's event will include a number of presentations that should be of general interest - rather than just being a series of discussions. Further details will be posted here.

Please get in touch to indicate your interest and influence the choice of location!

6. Elections

We are also getting around to that time of year when the elections for the UKUA Board occur. If you are interested in getting involved, or want to put someone else forward(!) please contact us to discuss what is involved.

After October we will react to bids as we receive them. So - if you are considering bidding, or working on a bid you should contact us to ensure that we know about this and can keep you informed of other bids as they are received.
