Barry O'Kane stepping down from UKU Board

After many years on the board of UK Ultimate Barry O'Kane has decided to step down from the board.  Anyone who enjoys playing Ultimate in the UK today owes a great deal of thanks to Barry for the time, energy and thought he has volunteered to developing our sport over the last 15+ years.  He took over as chairman after the transition from the old British Ultimate Federation to the current player's association (now UKU Ltd) in 2002, and has been on the board ever since.  A great deal has changed about Ultimate in the UK since 2002, but perhaps one of the most striking is to note that Barry is not as young as he looks in the picture opposite.

More seriously, this also means that we need a new without-portfolio board member and invite members to nominate themselves (or someone else) by emailing their name, contact details and a short "manifesto" to by 30th Sept.  Please look here for more details about board roles.

There is an election for three board positions that will be completed at the AGM on Sat 13th Sept.  Please visit this page to register your vote online now unless you are attending the meeting.
