Congratulations to Meg Price who is moving to work on the Commonwealth Games

With a mixture of sadness and excitement we announce that Meg Price, our Events Coordinator is taking up an great opportunity in a Lead Venue Planning role at the Commonwealth Games, Birmingham, July 2022.  As a result she will be leaving her full-time role at UK Ultimate at the end of November.

Meg found Ultimate as a player whilst still at school and continued playing as part of a particularly successful squad at the University of Birmingham.  After volunteering on the University Committee, Meg joined the TOC team as a volunteer leading on communications at WUGC 2016.  We were delighted to be able to hire Meg full-time in May 2017 - she’s had a great impact on our events in that time.

The last 18 months have obviously been difficult.  We thank Meg, and other members of staff, for their patience whilst furloughed, and flexibility in the face of uncertainty about how we return to and rebuild Ultimate in this country.  We are not immediately recruiting a replacement for Meg whilst we review our options in light of the challenges of the last two years, and uncertainty ahead.  Nonetheless, please rest assured that we are making plans for plenty of Ultimate tournaments in 2022!

Whilst we are sad to see Meg leave, and will have a hard time coping with the gap she leaves behind, securing a role at an event like the Commonwealth Games is a great opportunity.  I am really delighted that Meg chose to work for UKU, and we have all loved working with her.  Thanks and good luck Meg!  - Si Hill, CEO
