GB Committee recruiting for GB Appointments Manager

The GB Committee are looking to recruit a GB Appointments Manager to manage and coordinate the appointment process for all GB squad managers, coaches and leaders. They will work closely with the GB Performance Director to ensure that there is a fair and robust appointment process to identify the best candidates to lead each GB squad. As the GB Futures Hubs programme develops we expect that part of this role will involve supporting the appointment process for GB Futures Hubs volunteer positions.

It is expected that this role will involve establishing and maintaining a pool of volunteers to form specific selection panels for events where GB squads will be attending. For more information on the role please see the role outline here.

Please note that the project to expand the GB Committee and strengthen the support network around the squads is much more about the medium- and long-term than it is about the current batch of teams, whose campaigns are under-way. The structure of international ultimate is such that we always have active GB teams. In some years, the GB Programme comprises over 20 squads, and with the introduction of the GB Futures Programme there are another significant numer of volunteers actively working as part of the GB Programme. Across the squads, the programme comprises 500+ players and numerous squad managers, coaches, and volunteers. We have an increasing number of practitioners providing support to GB squads.
