UKU University Committee Vacancies

At UK Ultimate we have a university sub-committee, made up of volunteers, which oversees the university side of ultimate. It prides itself on hearing what those from within the university ultimate community have to say and take those opinions on board when shaping tournaments, divisions and BUCS competitions.

Currently, we are looking for a regional coordinator and a division coordinator role to be filled:

  • South East
  • Women’s Division

Regional Coordinators

The role of the Regional Coordinator is to represent one of the university regions (Scotland, North, East and West), and to feedback the opinions and voices from that area to the whole university sub committee. The role includes the following:

  • Being the first point of contact for queries from players in their region, escalating after to the Divisional or University Coordinator if necessary
  • Being the main point of contact for new teams in their region, passing news to their teams and gaining information from their teams to help the UKUUC make better decisions
  • Gaining opinions on issues and decisions so that Regional Coordinators are directly representing student leaders in their region
  • Seeking to increase participation and develop the sport in their region, and fostering relationships between teams – including local non-university clubs
  • To provide support for the Division Coordinator and UKU Events Coordinator in tournament preparation for tournaments in their region where required
  • To manage the regional social networking accounts on the behalf of UKUUC

Women’s Coordinator

The role of women’s coordinator is the divisional lead for the women’s division on the University committee. The role is focussed around the competition format, seedings and promotion and relegation of teams in the women’s division.

If you want to help us shape university ultimate and would like to apply for the volunteer role, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:
