Game Advisors are WFDF Officials used at certain events to help players self-officiate effectively and efficiently.

In some footage online you may notice people who look like referees, however these are likely to be either Game Advisors, or if you’re watching a game from the USA, Game Observers. The aim of Game Advisors is to support the players to self-officiate as effectively and efficiently as possible. Players remain responsible for making and resolving all game calls. Please note, if you come across AUDL games, these are played with a different set of rules to Ultimate. The owners of AUDL take the view that they will get a better financial short term return by including referees, and focusing on primarily male teams. We respectfully disagree with their approach, but we can all still admire the players' athleticism and skill with the disc.
