UKU Club National Championships 2022


UKU Club National Championships in 2022 will return to Highfields Sports Complex, University of Nottingham, on 3-4 September.

In 2022, UKU Nationals Championships is combined with EUCR-West which is the qualification event for the European Club Finals (EUCF).

REMINDER - There is no on-site parking this year - if you're coming to Nationals today please park on campus - more details below about parking options.

  • UK teams qualify for UKU Nationals via Regionals held on 13-14 August.

    The event entry deadline is 21st August.

    Events must be entered by club administrators via their membership profile.

    The team fee at the point of entry is £200. There will be a £10 player fee collected closer to the event.

    Any team that qualifies from UKU Regionals NOT taking their qualification spot at UKU Nationals must contact events@ukultimate.com no later than Sunday 17th August.

    If your team does not inform UKU that you will NOT be taking up your spot by the deadline stated above you will be liable to pay the full event entry fee for UKU Nationals.

    *** PLEASE NOTE ***

    NO DOGS - PLEASE tell all friends and family planning to come along and watch that dogs are NOT permitted on site at the fields.

    ON ARRIVAL - report to the TD Desk to receive any important notices and to collect your team disc.

    There will not be a separate captain’s meeting, but every team should make sure that a representative checks in on arrival.

    SHOWERS & TOILETS - changing rooms, showers and toilets will be located on site. Signs will indicate which are male and female.

    TRAVEL - the venue is a 20 minute bus / 10 minute car journey from Nottingham Station.

    CAR PARKING - unfortunately the on site car park we used last year is unavailable. Parking will be available on the university campus, a short walk from the fields.

    WATER - water will be available from taps based in and around the main building. We recommend that players bring AT LEAST two 1 litre water bottles with them.

    FOOD - food will be available on site.

  • Unfortunately there will be no parking for players on-site at Nationals this year. There is free parking available on the University of Nottingham campus just across the road. Please make sure you arrive with enough time to find a parking spot and walk to the fields.

    There are no parking charges over the weekend on the university campus but please park in an appropriately marked bay and adhere to any guidance displayed. No parking is permitted on grassed areas. A map of the campus can be found here with limited parking available at the following locations: Beeston Lane, Cavendish Hall, Florence Boot Hall, Willoughby Hall or alternatively by Jubilee Avenue and Trent Building or the main visitor car park on campus, which are all a short walk away from the Highfields Sports Ground.

    There will be some limited parking available on-site for those with access needs and for tournament staff and volunteers. Please note, the gate will be shut throughout the event so please so don’t attempt to drive into the venue.

  • Medical Support

    There will be an emergency medical team and physios on site, located near the TD desk / pavilion building.

    If you are unable to find them, please speak to the TD as the medical team will be contactable via radio throughout the weekend.

    You may need to call 111 to determine the most appropriate location for emergency/urgent treatment - depending on the circumstances.

    Please note - except in the case of an emergency where the medical team deems it necessary to take a player to hospital in the ambulance, we are not able to offer the facility of driving players to the hospital, nor sending a volunteer to look after and stay with them.

    Safety

    KEEP THE SIDELINES CLEAR - gaps in between pitches are for safety reasons, please do not sit in these gaps or leave any items there (including kit bags, chairs or prams). Certain sidelines are for players ONLY!

    THE PLAYING AREA - please do a visual check of the playing area and remain vigilant for any potential hazards on or close to the pitch.

    TAKE OFF YOUR WATCH/FITBIT/ JEWELLERY - we urge players to follow rule 3.4. in the Official WFDF Rules of Ultimate.

  • Spirit scores are entered using the online form linked above (the link will be made live closer to the event).

    You should be able to access the form on a smartphone. If you have any issues please go to the TD desk.
