UKU Division 2 National Championships 2024 will take place University of Leicester Sports Ground on 6-7 July. Teams wishing to compete at UKU Nationals should enter regional qualifiers. We are planning to run this event in the Open and Mixed divisions as we do not have sufficient numbers for the Women’s division.
This weekend for Nationals, we are asking team captains to join a WhatsApp Community for so that we can communicate any important announcements to teams throughout the weekend. There is also a score submission chat for Div 2 which we’re asking people to join to share scores with the TDs throughout the weekend. Please be aware that numbers will be visible to all those who join the score submission group and you are therefore under no obligation to join if you do not wish for your personal information to be shared. Numbers are not visible in the community.
This is an EUF-approved event.
This event will follow the UKU Tournament Rules.
Please ensure your team has a Spirit Captain at all events. SOTG resources can be found here. Please submit Spirit scores promptly ideally after each game or by the end of play on each day. Scored submitted after midnight on the last day of the event may not be included in Spirit data.

ON ARRIVAL - report to the TD Desk to sign off on your rosters and collect your team disc.
TOILETS - There are toilets inside the pavilion.
CAR PARKING - Parking is limited and there may not be quite enough space on site. There is some limited overflowing parking on the grass bank in front of the pitches.
Once the site is full, Participants should NOT park along Stoughton Road, especially not on the grass verge. There is some space at the Roger Bettles Sports centre on Manor Road, and Manor Road itself is wide and appropriate for on-street parking. Please be considerate to local residents. If you are able to travel by public transport, please do.
WATER - water is available from the pavilion
FOOD - Food will be available on site

Medical Support:
There will be an emergency medical team and physios on site, located near the TD desk / pavilion building.
If you are unable to find them, please speak to the TD as the medical team will be contactable via radio throughout the weekend.

You may need to call 111 to determine the most appropriate location for emergency/urgent treatment - depending on the circumstances.
Please note - except in the case of an emergency where the medical team deems it necessary to take a player to hospital in the ambulance, we are not able to offer the facility of driving players to the hospital, nor sending a volunteer to look after and stay with them.
Safety:
KEEP THE SIDELINES CLEAR - gaps in between pitches are for safety reasons, please do not sit in these gaps or leave any items there (including kit bags, chairs or prams). Certain sidelines are for players ONLY!
THE PLAYING AREA - please do a visual check of the playing area and remain vigilant for any potential hazards on or close to the pitch.
TAKE OFF YOUR WATCH/FITBIT/ JEWELLERY - we urge players to follow rule 3.4. in the Official WFDF Rules of Ultimate.
