    Venue:

The Merranti Pavilion, Coomb Field, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5HL

    Getting there:

The nearest train station is Edenbridge Town Station, a 15 minute walk away, with direct links to London.

    RAIL STRIKES

There are rail strikes on Saturday 13th, so we expect severe disruption to rail travel. Southern trains appear to be unaffected by the strikes, so currently scheduled is an hourly service from London Bridge to Edenbridge Town station. Please keep an eye on any updates to the disruption as these trains could change.

    DRIVING / PARKING

If travelling by car, please car share wherever possible and allow extra time for busier roads. There are two car parks on site with a total capacity of 90 cars - one where the satnav will take you (signposted the rugby club) and one larger one slightly down the main road (signposted the recreation ground). This would normally be enough space, but due the rail strikes we there is a chance both car parks will fill up. If full, do not park on verges or on the surrounding residential streets. There are car parks in Edenbridge, a five minute walk away, which are free.

Please DO NOT park on the road leading to the venue on the kerb. This is to support ongoing positive relationships between the venue and local residents.

    Food:

There will be food and drink on sale in the pavilion. Please support the rugby club as they support our event!

The nearest shops can be found in the town centre which is a 5 min walk away, with the largest being a Waitrose at TN8 5LN.

    Water:

Water will be available from the tap on the side of the pavilion. We recommend players bring AT LEAST two x 1 litre reusable water bottles.

  • Medical Support

There will be first aid / emergency cover on site, located near the TD desk / pavilion.

    The closest A&E department:

East Surrey Hospital - Canada Ave, Redhill, RH1 5RH

    Tel: 01737 768511

    Safety

KEEP THE SIDELINES CLEAR - Gaps in between pitches are for safety reasons, please do not sit in those gaps or fill them with items such as kit bags, chairs or prams. Certain sidelines are for players only!

THE PLAYING AREA - Please do a visual check of the playing area and remain vigilant for any potential hazards on and close to the pitch.

TAKE OFF YOUR WATCH/FITBIT/ JEWELLERY - We urge players to follow rule 3.4. in the Official WFDF Rules of Ultimate.

  • Spirit scores are entered using this online form (the link will be posted closer to the event).

You should be able to access the form on a smartphone.

Please enter your scores after your games, and at the latest before midnight on on the last day of the event. Scores submitted after this time will not be included.

  • Teams should plan on the basis of play between approx. 9:00-18:00 on Saturday and 9:00-17:00 on Sunday.

More info will be posted closer to the event.

Please also note the following:

  • Long-term we want Regionals/Playoffs OUT of August, but feel this is the only fair solution in 2022 due to WUCC disrupting many club rosters. Please see this document for 2023 season plans.

  • In 2022, we may provide a contingency plan for WUCC-teams whose Playoffs attendance is unfairly affected by travel complications caused by Covid-19.

These events will follow the UKU Tournament Rules
