UKU Windfarm is back! This is a large-scale, weekend-long, Tier 1 event for teams in the Open and Women’s divisions.

  • Contact:

    events@ukultimate.com

    Venue:

Riverside Sports Complex, Nottingham, NG7 2SA

    *** PLEASE NOTE ***

NO DOGS - please, PLEASE tell all friends and family that are planning to come. This is a University of Nottingham rule covering all of their sports fields.

ON ARRIVAL - report to the TD Desk on arrival to receive any important notices and to collect your team disc. There will not be a separate captain’s meeting, but every team should make sure that a representative checks in on arrival.

SHOWERS & TOILETS - changing rooms, showers and toilets will be located in the pavilion. Signs will indicate which are male and female.

CAR PARKING - there will be plenty of parking on site.

TAXIS / DROPOFF POINT - please use the Powerleague car park at the north side of the playing fields, this is on Thane Road, NG7 2TG. Please do NOT direct taxis to the tournament site itself – it’s a single-track road, and taxis coming out will block the whole road for cars coming in.

WATER - drinking water is available from taps on the outside wall of the pavilion buildings (near the external toilets), and also the “tea-rooms” inside.

We recommend players bring AT LEAST two x 1 litre reusable water bottles.

FOOD - food & drinks will be on sale on site.

  • Medical Support

There will be an emergency medical team on site, located near the TD desk (this will be in the large marquee).

If you are unable to find them, please speak to the TD as the medical team will be contactable via radio throughout the weekend.

    Nearest A&E department

    Queens Medical Centre

    Nottingham University Hospitals NG7 2UH

    Telephone: 0115 924 9924

Please note - except in the case of an emergency where the medical team deems it necessary to take a player to hospital in the ambulance, we are not able to offer the facility of driving players to the hospital, nor sending a volunteer to look after and stay with them.

    Safety

KEEP THE SIDELINES CLEAR - gaps in between pitches are for safety reasons, please do not sit in those gaps or fill them with items such as kit bags, chairs or prams. Certain sidelines are for players ONLY!

THE PLAYING AREA - please do a visual check of the playing area and remain vigilant for any potential hazards on or close to the pitch.

TAKE OFF YOUR WATCH/FITBIT/ JEWELLERY - we urge players to adhere to rule 3.4. in the Official WFDF Rules of Ultimate.
