UKU Regionals 2022 - Entries are open!
We are pleased to confirm that UKU Regionals will be held on the weekend of 13-14 August 2022 at Wythenshawe Sports Ground, Manchester for the Northern region and at Edenbridge RFC for the Southern region.
Entries for both North and South events are now open. For more event information and how to sign up please go to the events calendar:
The deadline for entry is Wednesday 8th June.
These competitions are for all three divisions (Women’s, Open and Mixed). Whether competition will be 1 or 2 days for each division will be determined by the number of sign ups.
The North and South regions are made up of the following ‘sub-regions’:
NORTH: Scotland (Sc), Northern Ireland (NI), North-East (NE), North-West (NW), Yorkshire & Humberside (Y&H), West-Midlands (WM), East-Midlands (EM) and East-England (EE).
SOUTH: South-West (SW), Wales (Wa), South-East (SE), Greater London (GL).
If you need clarity as to which English region you fall under please take a look at this map. A club’s region is based on the home addresses of their players and/or their primary practice location. In cases where it is not clear, a final decision will be made by the UKU Competitions Committee. More detail, additional information and notes on exceptions can be found here. UKU Regionals (also EUCQ) is a qualification event for UKU National Championships (aslo EUCR-W). The bid allocation for Nationals (based on standard EUF bid allocation process with amendment for division size) is as outlined below:
Mixed (12): North (6), South (4), Ireland (2)
Women’s (12): North (3), South (6), Ireland (3)
Open (12): North (3), South (5), Ireland (4)
