GB U24 Player Applications are Live
We’re pleased to invite applications from players wishing to represent GB/UK Ultimate (Open, Mixed and Women’s) at the World Under 24 Championships 2025. All players with more than 3 months playing experience are welcome to apply.

WU24 Championship Date and Location
As WFDF recently announced the 2025 World Under 24 Championships are planned to take place in Logroño, Spain, from 21st-28th June.
Trials
The selection process will comprise 3 phases: application, pre-trials, and main trials. In the first step, players are invited to apply to attend pre-trials, rather than to one particular team. We intend for one day pre-trials to be held 19-20 October 2024 and to be split into regional sessions in order to try to maximise the geographic accessibility. Pre-trials will not be split into male-matching and female-matching sessions. Each pre-trial will each include open, women’s, and mixed play. Successful trialists will be invited to the main trial in December 2025, from which squads for each division will be selected.
Players who are unable to participate at any of the pre-trial dates may still apply, but should indicate this clearly when applying.
Pre-trials are planned for the weekend 19-20 October.
Scotland: Sun Oct 20th 11:00-15:00 - [Oriam, Edinburgh]

Midlands: Sat Oct 19th 13:00-17:00 - [Uni of Nottingham, Nottingham]
South-East: Sat Oct 19th 12:00-16:00 - [Tudor Park, London]
South-West: Sun Oct 20th 12:00-16:00 - [St Bede’s College, Bristol]
Players will be allocated to regional sessions on the basis of the location stated in their application. Capacity limits may mean that some players are asked to attend a session other than the one closest to them.
Main trials will be hosted in one location with players trialling to be part of the GB U24 Squads (Women, Open and Mixed). The logistics of the main trial will be confirmed ASAP with applicants. We expect this to be a 2 day trial on the weekend of December 14-15.
Managers and Coaches
As per this announcement regarding changes to GB trial and selection procedures, managers and coaches have not been announced. Applications and selection to these roles will take place Sept-Nov so that the positions are filled ahead of the main trial.
Eligibility for trials
We acknowledge that the WFDF transgender policy may restrict players’ eligibility at WU24’s. GB trials and training will operate in accordance with the UKU transgender policy, and players are welcome to apply, trial, and if successful, train, in the division (or gender role in the mixed division) that they identify with. However, given the complexities presented by differing policies, we welcome the opportunity to discuss further with any players for whom these policies might restrict eligibility. WFDF age eligibility criteria: "Under-24 (U24) Divisions – A player participating in these divisions must be fourteen (14) years old or older and must not be twenty-four (24) years old or older during the calendar year in which the tournament concludes"
