Good Luck to the GB U17 and U20 Teams at JJUC

The Joint Juniors Ultimate Championships (JJUC) got underway with a bang as the GBU20 Women took on Poland in the opening game.

GBU20 Women secured a thrilling win in their opening fixture, as a back and forth game concluded with GB securing the win in sudden death, 12-11! If you missed it live you can watch the action from that game here. There are 4 Great Britain teams competing at JJUC in the U17 Open, U17 Women’s, U20 Open and U20 Women’s divisions against teams from across the world. The other thee teams get their campaigns underway today.


Competition Format:

Both U17 teams will compete in an initial round robin pool. The Open teams then play a final playoff game, whereas the Women’s teams go into a second round of pool games before playing their playoff game to decide their final placement.

In the U20 division the Open teams are divided into 2 pools of 6 to begin, followed by power pools and bracket play. The Women’s division has 2 initial pools of 5, followed by an upper and lower power pool and bracket play.

There are no GB games scheduled to be on the livestream today but keep your eyes peeled for games later in the week.
