Good Luck to the GB U20 Teams at EYUC 2023

The European Youth Ultimate Championships (EYUC) got underway this weekend, with both GB U20 teams starting the competition off with hard fought victories.

GBU20 Women secured a thrilling win in their opening fixture against Germany, as a back and forth game concluded with GB securing the win in sudden death, 14-13! They followed this up with a loss against the Italian U20 Women.

GBU20 Open also opened up their week with a close win, beating the Czech Republic 14-12. They too lost to Italy in their second game, before bouncing back with a 15-12 victory against Switzland which was sealed with a Callahan!

Competition Format:

The U20 Women’s format sees all teams compete in an initial pool, which seeds the teams before going into knockout play.

The U20 Open competition has two initial pools, which then move into power pools before bracket play to determine final placement.
