UKU Nationals - Division 2 update

During the entry process for Nationals, we asked teams if, should they fail to qualify for Nationals, they would commit to entering a Division 2 event.

There is sufficient commitment in the Open division for there to be a viable event, with between 8 -12 teams depending on Div 1 qualification.

Unfortunately we do not have enough teams in the Mixed or Women’s divisions for a Div 2 event to be viable. Our hope is to run Div 2 Nationals next year for the Mixed and Open divisions and to continue to build numbers in the Women’s division with the longer-term aim of holding Div 2 Nats in all three divisions.

We hope to hold Div 2 Nationals in Nottingham at Riverside Sports Ground on the same weekend as UKU Club Nationals/EUCR (26/27 August). Please note this is a different venue to the venue for UKU Club Nationals/EUCR-W. This is also subject to final confirmation from the University of Nottingham.
