Planned appointments schedule for the 2023 GB squads

The GB Committee is pleased to announce the following schedule in relation to the GB teams participating in both World and European events in 2023. We are looking to lay out the process that we intend to go through in recruiting and appointing the squad managers for the GB teams here. This is designed to give potential managers the opportunity to weigh up and consider their interest in managing a GB Squad, but also to allow us to appoint managers earlier, with the intention that managers will have more time to prepare for their new role before getting into trials/picking a squad.

*We are awaiting announcements confirming the dates and locations for all the above 2023 events.

Application Process Outline

The following application process will be used to appoint the GB squad managers applicants for all events divisions.

  1. Applications open through an announcement made on the UKU website.

  2. Applicants to complete the updated application form (link in the announcement).

  3. Applications will be reviewed and short-listed applicants will be invited to further discuss the details of the application with the GB “selection group”.

  4. Appointments will be announced via the UKU website.

Additional Event Information - EBUC 2023

In the case of EBUC 2023 we will be inviting the squad managers from the cancelled WBUC 2022 cycle to reapply. Any squad managers who do wish to reapply will be automatically invited to the discussion stage of the recruitment process following completion of the application form,

We do not know at this stage which (if any) of those squad managers will wish to reapply, and even where they do we still encourage applications from other individuals or groups interested in managing those squads.

Should you have any queries about the appointments schedule, responsibilities of the GB squad managers or application process please contact  the GB committee at gb.committee@ukultimate.com.
